Information Collection and Use
In order to use the training programs on this Web site, you must first complete the registration form and create a user name, user profile and password. Information Sharing and Disclosure
As you use this training website, you will enter personal information. Shaws-Lawson will not sell or share such personal information with any third parties. Shaws-Lawson will keep confidential all information provided by participants, and will not use it for any purpose other than this training.
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, and date/time stamp.
We use this information to monitor traffic on the site, and to maintain site security. We analyze the site log to make sure only authorized participants are accessing the learning material.
In addition to a password protection system, Shaws-Lawson has employed Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts all information entered on the Web site before it is sent over the Internet. Encryption is the process of taking the characters you enter at your computer keyboard and scrambling them into bits of code before transmission. The bits are then securely transmitted over the Internet to be deciphered on the Shaws-Lawson server. To anyone else, the information would be unreadable.
Some training programs on this web site offer a message board for the general use of the participants and the course instructors. If you use this message board, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you voluntarily submit can be read, collected, or used by others on the training Web site, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you voluntarily submit in the message board.
